"Being a passionate sound guy and composer for games, the Master’s programme in Sound and Music Computing seemed to be perfectly down my alley. SMC can supply me with knowledge about topics like the perception and cognition of music, while still giving me opportunities to get my hands dirty with hardcore technical endeavors and a bunch of math. As a game sound enthusiast, this allows me to develop my technical skills while still having a creative outlet and thus become a more attractive sound specialist when trying to find my place in the industry on the other side of the university. The marriage between music, sound design, technical skills and academic research are perfect for diving headfirst into projects that develop practical skills and knowledge, and with a diverse group of co-students with different backgrounds, there is much to learn on all fronts."
