About Sound and Music Computing

The MSc in Sound and Music Computing at Aalborg University, Denmark is part of a wider, international network of researchers within the field of sound and music computing involving many different research centers and organizations.

The international Sound and Music Computing network addresses challenges in the current generation of audio and music technologies, such as: sound synthesis, analysis, and processing; music perception and cognition: physics-based sound synthesis and control; novel interfaces for musical expression; sound for multimodal environments and sonic interaction design; music informatics and intelligence.

The international SMC community aims to develop the next generation of sound and music computing to not only benefit users of such technologies, but also a considerably wide variety of industries, from entertainment to education to social services.
