In the spring of 2016, Oticon launched a new challenging competition aimed at engineering students with an interest in electric, mechanical and software engineering, Audio Explores competition by Oticon.

The winning teams are going to join Oticon in mapping the acoustic environment of New York and make an auditive travel guide for New York.

SMC students are part of this exciting experience. They have now arrived to the Big Apple and here is what’s going on! We are doing a data collection on the noise levels we move around in everyday here in New York. Today we're also visiting our Oticon facility in Somerset, where we are getting to see parts of our production, test out new equipment and hear in depth lectures on the audiological field. Later on we'll go for sightseeing and the 'must eat, when in NY' Pizza!
