ABSTRACT
This paper attempts to explore the phenomena of visual mental imagery being triggered by music. Background re- search shows that emotional mechanisms also gets influ- enced by music, and the mood of the music can affect this. Further research into visual mental imagery and music, makes it clear that the field still lacks more recognition and research. This framework is carried into an experiment that had 7 out of 10 participants experience visual mental im- agery during a listening test. Their experiences were doc- umented and physiological data were also extracted. The reports of the imagery that the user experienced and their galvanic skin response could suggest that there is a connec- tion between both, however, improvements could be made for future research.
